For this group project about a mixed media artist in Portland, Oregon, Brown conducted the interview, created the story arch and completed a large portion of the editing process. Barbara Paanakker is a mixed media artist based out of Lake Oswego, Oregon. She starts her paintings with a thick layer of heavy gel, then she sticks objects that she finds interesting into it, which makes her work unique and rememberable. After a couple of days she begins painting many layers of paint and sometimes adds more gel and objects.
